Dashboard Overview

Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is the first thing you see when you log into AvviBill. It gives you a real-time snapshot of your agency's financial health and recent activity — all in one place.

Key Widgets

At the top of your dashboard, you'll find three summary cards that highlight your most important numbers.

💰 Total Revenue

  • Displays the total amount invoiced to all your clients across the selected time period.
  • This figure is calculated from all finalized invoices, giving you a clear picture of your agency's top-line earnings.
  • Use this to track growth and compare performance month over month.

📄 Outstanding Invoices

  • Shows the total value of unpaid invoices — money that clients owe you but haven't paid yet.
  • Invoices are marked as outstanding until they are recorded as Paid.
  • Keep an eye on this number to stay on top of collections and follow up with clients when needed.

Tip: If outstanding invoices are piling up, consider setting shorter payment terms or sending gentle reminders to clients.

👥 Active Contractors

  • Displays the number of contractors currently working under active contracts in your agency.
  • A contractor is considered "active" if they have at least one open contract that hasn't ended or been terminated.
  • This helps you understand your current workforce capacity at a glance.

Activity Feed

On the right side of the dashboard, you'll find the Activity Feed — a real-time timeline of everything happening in your agency.

The feed shows events like:

  • New contracts created — When a contractor is assigned to a new client project.
  • Timesheets submitted — When a contractor submits their hours for review.
  • Timesheets approved/rejected — When a manager takes action on a submitted timesheet.
  • Invoices generated — When a new invoice is created (auto or manual).
  • Payouts released — When a contractor payout is initiated.

Each entry in the feed includes a timestamp and a brief description so you can quickly scan what's happened without digging into individual pages.

Tip: The Activity Feed updates in real time — no need to refresh the page to see the latest events.

Date Filters

Need to zoom in on a specific time period? The dashboard supports date filtering so you can slice your data any way you like.

  • Use the date range picker at the top of the dashboard to filter by:
    • This Month — See performance for the current month.
    • This Quarter — Get a broader view of the last 3 months.
    • Custom Range — Select any start and end date for a custom view.
  • All widgets and charts on the dashboard will update automatically to reflect the selected period.

Tip: Switching to a quarterly view is a great way to spot trends and prepare for tax season or financial reviews.
